This is a light house that sits on Lake Ontario to warn ships of a large sand bar in the Great Lake. The 30 Mile Point Light House is no longer manned but the beacon that had been moved to a steel tower just left of the house has been placed back in the lighthouse after some local volunteer efforts. We had our picnic lunch just a few hundred feet from the lighthouse.Saturday, August 14, 2010
